They Sold Their Souls

THE FAUSTIAN BARGAIN

From German literature written by Faust, the character essentially sells his soul to the Devil for something in exchange--wealth, power, property.

How did hundreds of our highest-ranked federal representatives, including the president, top Flag Officers, advisors, family consultants accepted as legitimate advisors, our Cabinet, and so many more sell their souls to the Devil--in this post the Devil is Trump--in exchange for political careers, money, fame, power, and more?

HOW DID THE UNITED STATES' LEADERS FALL IN LINE? like those Nazis on Kristallnacht who vigorously slaughtered the top Nazi political opposition leaders?  The USA is in the middle of the 1930's style Nazi Germany transition now.  The sealing of the Nazi political and military power in 1938 on that horrible night of assassinations should be seen as a distinct possibility by our political leaders who have not yet sold their souls in the Trump/Faustian Bargain.

People in the USA, you should worry about your money, your property, your health care, the government's intrusion into your lives, your children & grandchildren, and about how you will next VOTE!

It is most likely far too late for us to regain our previous manner and way of life here in the USA!  Pendulums swing back and forth--the political power of both parties change from the dominant party to the minority party and then back again after eight years or so.  We have had a voting pendulum that has become stuck in the hard-right, ultra-Conservative notch; keep it all for our own side and talk away the blues of the low-power minority party.

How many decades would need to pass if by some miracle the minority party became the majority party overnight?  A couple of generations, maybe three, to recover economically if we could flip-flop the parties and the president.  The terrible damage that the Supreme Court has committed we are stuck with until the justices die.  Federal judges will also need to die or retire.  I say that the number one decision that must be reversed is the Citizens United decision that permits unlimited corporate financial contributions to candidates--essentially making it simple to buy an elected position.

I think it's too late to recover our old USA from the mid-twentieth century.  Additionally, if our electorate continues to keep their heads in the sand--living on their military and government pensions--the picture of a third world country here in the USA is likely.
